FemPowerment is a membership-based social service program of the Glenn Family Foundation that works towards holistic gender parity in the Caribbean, starting with Trinidad and Tobago.  The mission of FemPowerment is to facilitate the healing, protection, and the advancement of young women, throughout Trinidad and Tobago by creating a mutual aid network in which women receive a wide range of supportive services, resources, and professional guidance.  Throughout the course of their enrollment, FemPowerment members will receive the tools that they need to overcome various barriers in their lives and pursue their personal and professional goals, before likewise offering and actively providing tools to their fellow enrollees as they themselves become more resourced.  FemPowerment program managers will create a platform for exchanging financial support, childcare, transportation, food and household essentials, and mental health and wellness services.  The vision driving FemPowerment is of a Caribbean region in which all people are easily able to thrive and achieve their goals in spite of the societal and systemic challenges that exist for women and girls.
