Project Development Intern, Q2 (Spring 2024)
BROOKLYN, NY
THE GLENN FAMILY FOUNDATION is seeking a Project Development Intern for the period between February 2024 and May 2024 to help support the planning, resource mobilization, and operationalization of two new initiatives. This summer, our intern will be responsible for activating our Friends of Trinidad and Tobago project and our yet-to-be-titled project around supporting the Lionfishing industry in Trinidad and Jamaica. The purpose of the Project Development Internship is to expand the capacity of our non profit organization to address social, economic, and environmental issues in the Caribbean while also giving an opportunity to university students to gain real-world experience working on addressing issues related to their studies and vocational passions.

INTERNSHIP SUMMARY: The Quarter 2 2024 Project Development Intern will assist with the planning, background research, social media content, drafting of supporting documentation, and some of the coordination for two Glenn Family Foundation Projects on a part-time basis between July and August 2023.

FemPowerment Assistant Program Coordinator
TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO
THE GLENN FAMILY FOUNDATION is seeking an Assistant Program Coordinator for our FemPowerment Academy to help support the planning, resource mobilization, and operationalization of the program. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the implementation of our monthly support group, social calendar, and our material aid capacity.

LOCATION: Variable
REMUNERATION: $160.00 USD per month stipend
POSITION SUMMARY: FemPowerment is a membership-based social service program of the Glenn Family Foundation that works towards holistic gender parity in the Caribbean, starting with Trinidad and Tobago.
The FemPowerment Assistant Program Coordinator will play a crucial part in managing the marketing, outreach, and recruitment efforts for the FemPowerment program. This will involve implementing strategies to attract potential enrollees and promote the program to the target audience.
Additionally, you will be responsible for coordinating the logistics of monthly meetings, ensuring all necessary arrangements are made and participants are properly informed. The role will require weekly travel to different locations, but it also offers work-from-home options for added flexibility.
To excel in this position, you should have a strong internet connection and access to a computer, enabling you to efficiently carry out tasks related to program management and communication. You will be expected to build and maintain positive relationships with program enrollees and community partners, fostering a supportive and empowering environment.
Lastly, as the Assistant Program Coordinator, the successful candidate will be accountable for documenting the program's activities through comprehensive reports, as well as capturing photos and videos to showcase the impact and success of the FemPowerment initiative.

FemPowerment Youth Ambassador

THE GLENN FAMILY FOUNDATION is seeking our first Youth Ambassador to support the growth of our FemPowerment Academy. This Youth Ambassador will shadow both the Senior Program Coordinator as well as the Assistant Coordinator.

POSITION SUMMARY: FemPowerment is a membership-based social service program of the Glenn Family Foundation that works towards holistic gender parity in the Caribbean, starting with Trinidad and Tobago.
The Glenn Family Foundation is seeking a temporary, part-time Youth Ambassador to join their team for a one-year assignment as part of the FemPowerment program. Working closely with the FemPowerment Assistant Coordinator, the Youth Ambassador will play a crucial role in arranging, preparing for, and managing outreach opportunities to support the program's recruitment efforts.
Additionally, the Youth Ambassador will provide administrative support to the Senior Program Manager for the Glenn Family Foundation, particularly in relation to the FemPowerment support group and supportive services. This includes assisting with clerical tasks and engaging in strategic communication activities.
The ideal candidate for this position is a recent secondary school graduate residing in Trinidad, who is highly motivated to develop a diverse range of professional skills, including clerical competencies and strategic communication abilities.
As the Youth Ambassador, you will be expected to travel throughout Trinidad and Tobago, coordinating direct services and collecting resources for program enrollees. This will involve fostering positive relationships with participants and ensuring their needs are met effectively.
